Gerry Fedchun, President and Director of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association (APMA)
Gerry Fedchun is the President and a director of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers' Association ("APMA"). APMA is the national association of original equipment producers of parts, equipment, tools, supplies and services to the worldwide automotive industry. The Association was founded in 1952 and has over 400 members which account for 90% of independent parts production in Canada. In 2004, the auto parts industry had over $34 billion (Cdn.) in sales and 106,000 employees.
For the last several years, Mr. Fedchun has been actively promoting Canadian foreign trade. He has participated in trade missions to China, Eastern Europe and South America. He organized a trade mission to Ukraine and on behalf of the APMA has led innumerable trade missions to Japan, Thailand, Brazil, Argentina, the United States, Mexico, France, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and China.
Mr. Fedchun is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers; Society of Automotive Analysts; Canadian Bar Association; Law Society of Upper Canada; Metropolitan Toronto Board of Trade; Chairman of the board of directors of Georgian College's Centre for Automotive Parts Expertise; a member of the Ford Centre for Excellence in Manufacturing Equipment Task Force at St. Clair College; Research Advisory Committee for the Workers Safety and Insurance Board; Research Advisory Committee for Auto 21; Vice Chairman and Director of the Yves Landry Foundation, Alternate and Chair of Sustainability Working Group of Canadian Automotive Partnership Council and Director of Council for Automotive Human Resources.
